Patient Care Volunteer

Patient care volunteers offer companionship, emotional support, and respite for caregivers while visiting patients wherever they call home. After completing training, volunteers provide a comforting presence through regular visits, helping patients and families feel supported during the hospice journey. Many describe the experience as deeply meaningful and rewarding.

Complementary Care Volunteer

Complementary care volunteers use specialized skills to enhance comfort and quality of life for patients and families. Opportunities may include massage therapy, music, pet companionship, and other supportive services based on volunteer qualifications and program needs. Organization Support Volunteer

Organization support volunteers help advance By the Bay Health’s mission through administrative support, fundraising, community outreach, Hodgepodge thrift stores, and the Comfort Bears program. Whether supporting behind the scenes or engaging with the community, these volunteers help make compassionate care possible for more patients and families.
