More Than a Summer Camp
By the Bay Camp is a specialized grief camp that helps children and teens understand they are not alone. Through shared experiences with peers who have also experienced loss, campers build confidence, connection, and resilience. The camp creates a supportive community where children can express themselves freely while developing healthy ways to navigate grief.
Support Through Shared Experiences
Licensed grief professionals and trained volunteers guide campers through age-appropriate activities that help them explore feelings, share memories, and develop coping skills. Rather than focusing solely on loss, the camp helps children understand grief as a natural part of life while providing tools and support they can carry forward long after camp ends.
Fun, Friendship, and Adventure
Alongside grief-focused activities, campers enjoy traditional camp experiences including games, creative arts, outdoor activities, team-building exercises, and opportunities for laughter and friendship. These experiences help children reconnect with joy while building meaningful relationships with peers who understand their journey.
Register Your Camper
Registration is required and space may be limited. Complete your application before the registration deadline to reserve your child’s place. The registration portal includes eligibility requirements, required forms, and important dates.
Volunteer At Camp
Volunteers help create a safe, supportive camp experience by assisting with activities and fostering connection. Training is provided, and applications are due before the volunteer registration deadline.
